<p><br></p><p>The Public Health Unit (PHU) at IOM supports national and local health systems in Lebanon through the implementation of public health interventions, emergency preparedness and response, disease surveillance, community outreach, health promotion, border health, and health system strengthening activities. PHU works in close coordination with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) Lebanon, health sector partners, UN agencies, NGOs, health facilities, implementing partners, and other relevant stakeholders to support continuity of essential health services, strengthen preparedness and response capacities, and enhance access to healthcare services for vulnerable and affected populations across Lebanon. PHU activities target vulnerable and crisis-affected populations, including migrants, displaced persons, refugees, and underserved communities. Under its various programmes, PHU supports communicable disease prevention and control, including Tuberculosis, HIV, and outbreak-prone diseases; community-based surveillance; referral and linkage to care; border health activities; emergency health response; and field-level monitoring of public health risks in shelters, communities, points of entry, and supported health facilities. This job is responsible for welding components to specification using TIG, MIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding processes, verifying proper preparation and fit-up of parts, operating fabrication equipment such as brake presses and hydraulic presses, maintaining a safe and organized work area, accurately recording job transactions, and following all company safety and attendance policies while supporting production schedules.</p>

<p>Welds components to specified instructions, utilizing standard welding equipment (TIG, Flux Core, MIG, Stick) to predetermined dimensions and tolerance.<br>
Verifies and acknowledges component part is properly prepared, fabricated, and braced for the weld process specified.<br>
Able to operate brake press, hydraulic presses, drill press, and hydraulic rollers.<br>
Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.<br>
Accurately records job transactions and router hours.<br>
Abides by all company policies with emphasis on attendance and safety.<br>
Performs other related duties as assigned.</p>
<h4>What are the requirements of the job?</h4>
<p>High school diploma or general education degree (GED required). Vocational training course completion is preferred.<br>
Must have obtained ASME 9 certification, AWS D1.1 certification, or equivalent on stainless and carbon steel, MIG, TIG, and Flux Core, along with three years’ work experience in welding MIG, TIG and Flux Core.<br>
Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance and repair.<br>
Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.<br>
Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.<br>
Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.<br>
Demonstrates company values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action.<br>
Also required is the ability to read and interpret blueprints, read measuring instruments (i.e. tape measures, etc.), and operate a forklift and overhead crane.<br>
