The Maintenance Supervisor supports the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department and assists in various projects and initiatives.<br><br> <br><b>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<br></b><br> Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, and other areas to upkeep the functioning of the hotel.<br><br> Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.<br><br> Conduct routine inspection of the property and completing the check lists.<br><br> Assist in implementing and carrying out preventive maintenance programs for all hotel systems and equipment.<br><br> Conduct regular inspections and assessments of facilities to identify maintenance needs and opportunities for improvement.<br><br> Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing malfunctions and make necessary repairs or adjustments.<br><br> Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with external contractors or vendors when required.<br><br> Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials and adherence to building codes.<br><br> Assist in capital improvement projects, renovations, and equipment upgrades as directed by the Chief Engineer or management team.<br><br> Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other departments to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.<br><br> Maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and equipment necessary for maintenance and repair activities.<br><br> Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.<br><br> Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.<br><br> Prepare reports on work performed, equipment status, and maintenance schedules as required.<br><br> Responsible for overall day to day operation<br><br> Participates and actively involves in energy conservation programs and cost-effective maintenance works.<br><br> Promotes teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with team.<br><br> Supervises preventive maintenance and repairs conducted in the property.<br><br> Prioritizes engineering service requests to ensure guest convenience and satisfaction.<br><br> Ensures that engineering and work areas are in order and clean condition.<br><br> Regularly examines, tests, and maintains life safety systems to protect guests, employees, and assets.<br><br> Reports any incident of guest dissatisfactions or unusual matters of significance to management so that corrective measures may be taken.<br><br> Resolves operational problems in compliance with the hotel policies and procedures.<br><br> <br> <br>It is not the intent of this Job Description to cover all aspects of the position but to highlight the most important areas of responsibility.<br><br> <br><b>Qualifications &amp; Skills<br></b><br> At least 5 years experience within the hospitality industry<br><br> High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in maintenance or facilities management are a plus<br><br> Experience in planning maintenance operations <br><br> Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, gas, electrical systems etc. <br><br> Ability to keep track of and report on activity<br></div></section>
