Job Summary

<br>The Dietitian / R&D Nutrition Specialist is responsible for developing, calculating, reviewing, and validating the nutritional composition of the company's food products. The role ensures that all nutritional facts panels, ingredient declarations, and nutrition-related claims comply with applicable local and international food labeling regulations. The position works closely with the R&D, Quality Assurance, Production, Procurement, and Marketing teams to support new product development and maintain accurate nutritional information.

<br>Nutrition Analysis & Labeling
<br>Calculate and verify the nutritional values of all food products using approved nutritional databases or laboratory analysis.
<br>Prepare and maintain Nutrition Facts Panels for product labels.
<br>Review recipes and formulations to ensure the accuracy of nutritional information.
<br>Update nutritional values whenever recipes or ingredients change.
<br>Verify ingredient lists, allergen declarations, and nutrition claims.
<br>Research & Product Development
<br>Participate in the development and reformulation of new and existing products.
<br>Recommend healthier ingredient alternatives while maintaining product quality and functionality.
<br>Support innovation projects by evaluating the nutritional impact of product formulations.

<p>The Department of Nutrition and Food Science in the School of Arts and Sciences at the Lebanese American University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of assistant/associate professor of nutrition/food science. The department is seeking a highly qualified and motivated full-time faculty member who is committed to innovative teaching, research, program development, academic advising, and institutional and community service. Prospective candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in nutrition, food science, or a closely related field. The successful candidate will have a proven publication track record in top tier journals alongside the ability to attract grant funding and is expected to teach a variety of courses.</p>
